The California Dentists’ Guild is your retirement planning manager.
Our not-for-profit organization was founded by dentists in California. This focused approach and knowledge of the dental industry makes CDG a great partner when planning for a secure retirement.
Just a Few of Your Benefits as a CDG Member
There is no cost to join the Guild, but you must be a registered dentist in California.
- We pool our investments to leverage programs that provide greater value while maintaining individual accounts, giving you access to institutional funds at a lower cost not normally available to the retail public.
- We perform yearly IRS mandated tests (cross-testing) and prepare your tax Form 5500 at no additional cost.
- You have access to investment education and guidance, and benefit from personalized services by the CDG staff.
- Our team reviews current investments, recommends changes and provides continuing investment monitoring services.
Once you determine we are a fit for your future retirement needs, call us for a complimentary financial analysis at (800) 851-0008.
Get started with the California Dentists’ Guild.
We provide ongoing counsel for your retirement investments, pensions, 401(k) administration, IRAs and more—as well as keep you apprised of current trends and topical issues that may affect your portfolio.
In other words, our management services don’t stop when you join our Guild.
Have you taken our survey to help determine what type of investor you may be?
7 steps to join the Guild...
The next step is to complete your census form. The census form covers questions like business entity, location, retirement objectives, employee eligibility, annual compensation, etc.
You can find the census form here.
Once the one-on-one conversation and census form are completed, we work with our third party administrator to develop an analysis with possible plan scenarios based on your office needs. This initial report is at no cost to you and you are under no obligation to utilize our services.
Our Retirement Program Specialist presents you with the analysis and reviews your plan and investment options in detail, answering any questions you may have.
If you determine that CDG meets the needs of your financial future, we work with you to develop a plan that matches these needs.
We then collect the necessary legal forms and documents to join our Guild, and forward this material to you.
Please note: Many of these documents must have your original signature. You can find forms here.
Once we have all applicable forms, your Retirement Program Specialist reviews and approves for accuracy and forwards the documents to our custodian bank, along with your deposit.*
*You must deposit a minimum of $5,000 to get started. This money goes straight into your account and begins working for you right away.
We will then discuss an office orientation either by video/phone conference or in person at your office location.
During orientation we will walk you and your employees through membership benefits, their plans, and how to access your accounts 24/7 and answer any questions.
We also work closely with your CPA when asked, for any tax issues, so that you can concentrate on your work as a dentist.
